The AWP Man-o'-war is a classic CS2 skin that has maintained steady popularity since its release in the Chroma 2 Case back in 2015. As a Covert-grade item, it sits just below the knife tier in rarity, making it a desirable pull for case openers and a staple mid-tier play skin for AWP enthusiasts. Its design features a dark blue base with a gold kraken illustration and antique map elements, giving it a distinct nautical theme that stands out from the more common geometric or sci-fi AWP skins.
Unlike many skins where float value dramatically alters appearance, the Man-o'-war's custom paint job remains consistent across all wear levels. The primary difference between a Factory New and a Battle-Scarred version is the overall brightness and slight edge wear, not a loss of the central artwork. This makes it a forgiving skin for budget-conscious buyers who can opt for a Field-Tested or Minimal Wear version without sacrificing the core aesthetic.
AWP Man-o'-war Price Ranges by Wear (Non-StatTrak™)
| Wear | Float Range | Approx. Price (USD) |
|---|---|---|
| Factory New | 0.00 – 0.07 | $40 – $45 |
| Minimal Wear | 0.07 – 0.15 | $28 – $35 |
| Field-Tested | 0.15 – 0.38 | $22 – $28 |
| Well-Worn | 0.38 – 0.45 | $18 – $22 |
| Battle-Scarred | 0.45 – 1.00 | $17 – $20 |
The kraken and map design remain fully visible even on Battle-Scarred Man-o'-war skins. You can save $20+ by buying Field-Tested instead of Factory New with virtually the same in-game look.
The AWP Man-o'-war was one of the first Covert skins to feature a fully custom painted design rather than a patina or hydrographic finish, setting a trend for later Chroma case collections.
